in meditation, do not concentrate... instead u should let the mind go...
if there are some things to think... just let it wander...
it looks hard at the first time... but after some times u'll feel it more easier...

One anology is to allow the mind to drain like drops of water settling.
Another is to treat the mind like a child. You have to allow it to be wild and run around of as long as it needs to and then it becomes ready to settle.
Allow the mind to wonder. But observe it, same as you would a child.
