Lately during the day after or before my meditation, I've felt moody and cranky. There's no normal reason I'm  aware of this should be happening, but it's continued for a few weeks now. What could be happening to cause this and what can I do to fix it?

This is normal, even though one would think we should be "cleared out" sufficiently by meditation.  So much arises from within us to deal with in and after meditation, whether we realize it or not.   The brain hears certain words as key words even though we didn't phrase things the way it heard us.

Go over any thoughts and make sure anything you say/think is positive.  Don't use any thoughts that say something along the lines of, "I don't want to feel ugly anymore."  The brain hears, "feel ugly."   "I feel beautiful and am perfect just the way I am", would be the positive phrasing you want to use.

Another thing is perhaps you should look into your bio wave chart.  It could just be a down period for you.  We can't control every aspect within our lives even with the many hours of meditation, its just impossible.

Sometimes a good nap can re charge us.  Check your diet.  So many factors to weigh in here.

Best of luck to you!

Sometimes there are old wounds that need to be healed, that we have pushed down, and strongly insist on keeping away from our sight!  I would say that you need to let it come up, so you can deal with it and heal it.  If you allow the thoughts to rise, instead of making sure that they stay hidden, you will know what that is.  Your feelings afterward are the residual of what tried to come into your conscious mind, but you wouldn't allow thoughts to come of whatever it is.  Relax, allow all thoughts to come, whatever they are.

If you are unable to let the thoughts come, try some chakra work, and that will help it come to the surface, and conscious mind.
