I have been meditating for a couple of years and tried different styles to see what worked best. No one style seem better than the other. Most things that have happen I have found some kind of reference to them somewhere so I am not to concerned with them. However, here recently strange things have been happening.

One is the fact I see faces. Everything is in black and white so I cannot get any color reference. First I see eyes, some sinister looking but at a distance. I am not to worried about them, to me they are mostly an oddity. But I see female eyes, very beautiful eyes looking at me. They can get very close. When they get so close I can see inside their pupils and I see tiny sparks of light. I can never see her whole face, only a partial like a side view. Then from there I see weird faces. Some distorted humanoid or animal like. Once again I am not scared just amused. Then I see normal human faces. They are mostly non-animated. However the other night I saw a very old man with a lot of gray hair and beard. What was different about him was that he was gaseous and stayed with me for a while.

The other thing is I fall asleep. I know I am asleep because I can here myself snoring. I know it is me because the snoring is in-sync with my breathing. Then I get flashes of conversation and images. This is where it get weird.  I will wake up (this is how I perceive it) And realize I am late to work. As I get my bearings I realize I am not in my room and they I understand something is going on. At this point someone or something grabs me, I feel a lot of intense vibrations, and I begin to fly thru the air. We travel straight up, then across the landscape. The stars do not look correct, I am an amateur astronomer, and then they set me down on the ground. Sometimes I am put in the open outside and then other times I end up in a room different from where I started. This last a few minutes then I open my eyes. I thought at first this was a dream but there is no sleep to awake transition. I am fully awake and simply open my eyes. This is happening with increased frequency.

I cannot find any info related to these event, does anyone have some ideas that may shed some light    

Wow! At least it sounds as if you're having fun!
I would say that in the first part of your description, you are in a hypnogogic state. This is where your brainwaves match that of the dream state, essentially it's a waking dream. Experiment with this and see if you can control some aspects of what u see. If u want to get past this you need to get into a deeper state. As u get into the delta and theta states, these images will disappear.

The second part seems obvious to me that you're having an OOBE or OBE or astral projection, where your spirit temporarily detaches from the body and goes astral traveling. Here again, this is quite a fun thing to do, and I would try to see if I could control where I go and what I do. Again if u get into a deeper state these things go away, for me at least.

To get into a deeper state, of course is easier said than done, u might say. What works best 4 me is long deep slow breathing, altho I find if I breathe too deep, I can't get there. One thing that helped me, is a small biofeedback meter that I found years ago at Radio Shack for $10. Make sure u get the one with sound, cause u can't very well meditate if u have to watch a screen or something. One thing I discovered is that it's important to stay completely still. If I just moved a little bit, like to scratch an itch or something, it would take about 5 minutes to get the meter back to where it was b4 I moved. So again, what works best 4 me is the long slow deep breathing and being completely still. It's not that easy, but with practice it gets a little easier. Once I get into a deep enough state, sometimes I find it easy to be still, I can occasionally go up to an hour without moving a single muscle. Other times an hour will seem like less than 5 minutes. Just play with it, and find what works 4 u.
