if you do, perhaps looking at the problem & trying to determine what would make you feel better about it and what you need to do to achieve that ?

Your story reminds me of another story of a person just like yourself. A devotee once took a vow of silence and would just sit at the feet of his master. After a number of years, the silence was broken and the devotee said to his master, master I have this uncontrollable temper how can I get rid of it?? The master leaned over-eye to eye- and said, Show me this uncontrollable anger! The devotee said, I can't-it just sneaks up on me. The master said, If you can not show it to me-it is not you. I think the master in this story is about Buddha.

Forgive me if I am repeating suggestions already made ..... The first step is surely to treat your anger like a map... it is a tool telling you that someone or something has crossed a line, or that you have crossed a line and you are angry with yourself.... It could be something people aren't doing or doing... but you will have to do some soul searching to find out what is making you angry. Don't be upset about being angry or condemn yourself, it's a tool... it is showing you where and who you need to be and that changes need to be made in your life. You have every right to be angry it's a natural reaction.... it's what you do with this anger that counts. You may need to change things in your life, be more honest about your needs or change your behaviour....If you feel you need a quick fix see your anger as a monster coming up out of a drain...watch it rise up and then squirt it with water and wash it away knowing that you are noticing EXACTLY what situation has made you angry....then go away and work out waht the deep seated problem is... xxx

Anger - A feeling that our mind creates..

A feeling is a output of a program (Series of thought process) which our mind executes.

This particular program (Series of thought process) will be triggered by many triggers (situation, persons)

To control the thoughts either escape from the triggers (practically not possible) or we have deactivate the program.

This deactivation can be done either by self-inquiry or through a meditation.
