If you think about it, we're all given several sets of parents. The original, of course, are the ones we're most strongly connected with, but teachers, mentors, friends and even our spouses and partners can also 'parent' us from time to time. You'll be very pleased with someone who's an unofficial parent now, not just because they love you, which is obvious, but because they'll be more than happy to help you with the thing you need the most -- which is the one thing you don't yet know you need.
