Hi, Im left handed and my left hand is the hand i would use to protect myself in case a ball is thrown at  me though I use my right hand when using a scissors and toothbrush.
May I know which hand i should use in selecting a tarrot cards as well as cutting the deck.

thanks

I do not subscribe to these thoughts of which hand for tarot and which hand for this .. or that...

Whichever is your working hand and whichever makes you feel comfortable to deal with things, including the tarot cards, you should use that one.

You can post such questions in the Tarot General room where there will be more opinions expressed.

Hope to see you there soon.

Cedars are you ambidexterous then?

Catya, why not just quickly pick up a deck and shuffle and then see which hand you automatically deal with, that is the hand for you. There are long winded ideas about the dominant and recessive hands that should only be used for one thing either protection or receiving but most people can use either hand.

Hi Cascade of Light
I wouldnt call myself ambidextrous. In fact, I am virtually useless with my left hand. All i was trying to say to Catya was that let us not limit our progress or involvement with the tarot by trying to insert unwritten 'laws' and 'regulations' in the way the cards should be handled.

I totally agree Cedars Nice to meet you by the way, I have read many of your posts and love your style of reading

For you then the right hand is dominant and so you will use it for most things anyway? Many well known tarot readers say that the cards should be cut with the recessive hand, the hand that receives, and many of these people have written books that for some are taken to be law lol!
