Greetings to every one!  I should post something; I have been reading long enough.  As I say, I am an empath.  In recent years I have come to be aware of some gifts I have.  Only this past year I struck out on my own personal journey through my own spirituality.  I am eager to learn and have been reading everything I can find, almost.  I read about a Book of Shadows and started my own to record all that I experience on this journey.  It is getting huge!  
So far, I can say for certain that I possess many of the attributes of an empath.  Other folks' emotions really take their toll on me.  After an experience all I can do is go lay down.  I'm drained by them.  But, that isn't all that is going on.  I see some spirits and "sense" things.  I used to think I just had a really vivid imagination.  Now, I recognize the 'images' I get, as being meaningful.  I 'know' things.
I am currently trying, through meditation and writing, to put together all that I am learning.  Reading about others and their gifts is new to me as before now it seemed taboo to speak of.  I am finding it very helpful and enlightening.  In the past few years it seems like society is more open.
I am glad to be here.  I have been reading here for a while.  I'll try to write more.

Well I am happy to meet you! I read alot too before joining. I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to be an odd ball or joining a message board that was not my style. I love it here! You can get so much positive energy and good information! It's great!
I have to be honest, and please don't take offense, but I am just a touch envious! That may sound weird or silly, but I have the uptmost respect for those have the gift of second sight, intuition, and such. I can occasionally sense or feel energies and presences, but not that often anymore. When I was younger, I felt and saw things on a regular basis. I just sorta lost it as I grew older. I hope to hear more from you and WELCOME!
