 This is joepm1. I "live" in Connecticut, which was formerly in New England but now has lost any resemblence to the latter. I guess we're just the "Tri-state area" now. I'm 50 and male, single, never married and no kids. Not because of any desire to be single, but, because I really don't have much to offer a woman(disabled, poor and obese). I guess I'll just sit back and watch for a while, that is, untill I get my sea legs. I'm very interested to check out the different discussions and see what I learn.

We all have something to offer regardless of our own self image. the important thing is to respect ourselves because without that we cannot respect others. You will be surprised at how many so called 'perfect 10s' have a terrible self image and feel that no-one could possibly like them.

Anyway, enough of the lecture, welcome to the board and hope you feel confident enough to contribute at some point. I myself am from old England (the real one in the UK). I am 38 years old this year and am also poor and obese although I am married with two children. I am not wheelchair bound but I suffer from Fibromyalgia which stops me from doing a lot of things I consider a man of the house to be able to do but I do like myself (would still change the beer belly though).
