CJ. My story contains several characters who are part of a contemporary paranormal investigations group called 'Elucidare Arcanum'. One of them is my leading lady 'Emily Bishop' but the rest get killed during their exploration of a fictional, infamous house that has reappeared in a small valley in Wales after vannishing in the 1840's.

I am currently writing about their exploration of the house, which has stood untouched by man since it's vanishing act, and I make referrance to the equipment they use now and then.

Obviously I want the details to be accurate and realistic and so I'd like to know if there are any modern-day investigators out there who use specific equipment to help them.

I've theorised that new Digital as well as old analogue equipment would be used due to electro-magnetic states and its effect on cillicon based technology. I'm also guessing that temperature measuring equipment, night-vision cameras, Electro Magnetic meters, motion detectors and thermal imaging cameras would be used, as well as mobile communications, GPS devices and portable computers having there place.

I've including more occult techniques such as pendulum dowsing, mediumship, psychic ability, cosmic ordering, and automatic writing as tools for this group to have at there disposal (and big muscles to carry it all!) but I'd like to know of any more obscure tools/devices that people have used.

I'm happy to discuss theory and experiences with you CJ, or anyone else. Infact I attend a meditation group every Thursday night where we talk in-depth about all things spiritual/occult in nature, I could take your views with me and prod the wasp nest on your behalf.

I am very interested in the work of Colin Wilson, although I've only read two of his books, and believe that Science and Spirituality can be blended to work together.
