Heilsa ,

I'm Kitra, mother, grandmother , crone and a few other things on the sideline. Currently living in Holland, have been travelling the seven seas far to long in my humble but slightly camp opinion. So, time to settle down.
I"m a collector of various myths and sages, hope to meet people here who share the same hobby. Right now I'm researching myths regarding the dark goddess.

i loked up what Heilsa means
According to the Cleasby-Vigfusson dictionary (which we now have available here on Northvegr) heilsa means "to say hail to one, greet one." Vigfusson notes that "it was an ancient custom for the host to welcome (heilsa) the stranger." He also notes that to the departing guest is said "kveðja" (kvethja), which apparently in addition to being a greeting can mean to bid farewell.

Thanks for the welcome message, great!

Heilsa is an ancient nordic (Asatru) greeting, it resambles the latin "ave." Some Asatru believers may take a differant spelling; Hailsa.
The greeting is a well wishing to the assembley.
Lovely don't you think so? It sort of gives you a feeling of good tidings and belonging.
