Dear all,
“When one door closes, another opens"
One of my friends was so obsessed with a business plan, that he invested his two good years and money in making it work successfully. He was so confident that he never allowed himself to look into changing world. Ultimately he became depressed, frustrated and his life became hell for himself and others.
Why this happens? That too from a learned person, who has completed his engineering, and Management and all that stuff.
This happened because he never saw the changing world and he avoided to check on another opportunity to try. He was totally engrossed in old activities.
You all who are above 40 years must be aware of a typewriting company called Remington. People have to book the product in advance. –a typewriter that makes noise of KHAD, KHAD, KHATAK. Then for few years it was ruled by Electronics typewriter. At present it is PC, Laptop and Mobile phone.
Remington never realized at the earlier stage and it vanished within few years.
Look at big profitable companies, Windows software is such an easy to understand and use. However, Bill gate is always making some improvement and try to be with changing world.
I’m sure you’ve heard the saying that, "When one door closes, another opens"
This saying is true, but it comes with a hidden catch …
The person is so focused and determined to open the close door that he/she refuses to let go of the door in front of him/her. They cannot see that a new door has opened behind them.
Alexander Graham Bell summed this idea up well when he said:
When One door closes another opens,
but often we look so long and so regretfully
upon the closed door that
we do not see the ones open for us.
What this means in the real world is that when we dwell on things that did not work out, we can often miss out on new opportunities that are waiting for us.
For example, imagine that you worked hard on a business deal only to find that things didn’t work out the way you anticipated. If you continue to focus on the situation instead of letting it go, you may miss new business opportunities that are waiting for you.
Similarly, when a relationship ends, we can get so caught up in analyzing what went wrong that we can miss the opportunity to develop new relationships.
Of course letting go is easier said than done. When a door closes on part of our life, it is natural to feel upset and disappointed. However, it should not continue for a longer duration. The fastest you forget on it and look at the open door of opportunities, better for you.
As you overcome these feelings it is important to find the courage to let go of the closed door in order to find the new door that is waiting for you.
I encourage you to begin to look for the new door that will lead to the future that is waiting for you.
James F. Bymes:
Too many people are thinking of security instead of opportunity. They seem to be more afraid of life than death.
Hugh Miller:
Problems are only opportunities with thorns on them.
