Self action –keep moving.
Our group of 10 friends went on a picnic. The group members were very happy and enthusiastic as the picnic was planned long before and it was actually got realised. Each member had planned on some or other activity to be carried out in this adventurous trekking outing.
We carried all required equipments and food items with us. As we reached the pre decided spot, all of us were relieved as almost it took 2 hours. We found all required equipments except important one. Enthusiastic group member “Milind” forgot in a hurry to carry the equipment with him. He agreed to get it back within 3 hours on a condition that we will not eat from our food stock till he returns. We were relieved and agreed immediately.
We all started cleaning the base camp and started erecting tents. Uday, the senior and experience member was instructing us. Almost 4 hours passed by, we all were very hungry; however as per Uday, we all agreed to wait for another 30 minutes as per our commitment to Milind.
He never reached back within 5 hours. The hard work made us very hungry and we decided to break the commitment given to Milind. That time mobiles were not available and hence no contact with him.
As soon as we opened the food basket and started to eat, Milind arrived within a minute and shouted "Look, I knew you wouldn't wait. Now I am not going to go get the equipment." For last so many hours, Milind was waiting at a distance in trees just to check whether we are eating food or not.
Some of US Waste Our Lives Waiting for People to Live Up to Our Expectations of or For Them.
We are so Concerned about What Others are Doing that We don't Do Anything Ourselves.
In today’s environments, one should be very clear while discussion, instructing, agreeing. After discussion or interaction, we need to repeat whatever our understanding is, actions/ consequences thereafter and then only interaction happens fruitful / meaningful. Whoever you are --an ordinary person or boss / leader, unless consequences of not doing in right time are known to self and to other person, the discussion or meeting becomes just the conversation.
Albert Einstein:
The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.
Edmund Burke:
All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing.
Be determined and keep moving with required action --- success is in movement in right direction
