DON'T QUIT
Few days back my friends two boys were kicking the ball playing some crazy game they dreamed up in their little minds. I was sitting watching them.
Then the older one, Joe yells "I Quit" and he sits down. His arms are crossed and he said "I'm not playing because Alan cheated". (Alan is the younger one)
And I said to Joe "coooommoon"."It's just a game". "Let's just play". "I'll be on your team". And he says...No, I quit!
And I started to chant. . D O N ' T Q U I T . . .D O N ' T Q U I T . . .D O N ' T Q U I T . . and then a little faster. DON'T QUIT, DON'T QUIT, DON'T QUIT . . . I had my both hands balled up into fists. My arms outreached and I was staring Joe directly in the eye...DON'T QUIT, DON'T QUIT, DON'T QUIT. . .
His arms were still crossed but I saw them start to loosen. DON’T QUIT, DON'T QUIT, DON'T QUIT. . and then I could see him struggling to keep himself from smiling. And I chanted even louder. DON’T QUIT, DON'T QUIT, DON'T QUIT, DON'T QUIT . . .I was now jumping up and down with each chant. DON’T QUIT, DON'T QUIT, DON'T QUIT, DON'T QUIT . . .
I then held my hands out waiting for him to get up and run on to the field like a football team on home coming game. DON’T QUIT, DON'T QUIT, DON'T QUIT, DON'T QUIT . . .And the pressure was too much and Joe got up and placed himself back into the game.
On many occasions, the situation becomes so tough that we easily give-up and quit from our mission.
In my childhood days my father gave me a wonderful poem that is passed on to my son and I still read it quite often.
Please check this poem in attachment. Take a printout and place it at a place where you look very often.
I BET, in future you will be hesitant to give up and achieve success which your actions deserve.
I congratulate in advance and my Best of luck to each individual in your success.
Michael Jordan---
I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty six times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
General George S. Patton---
Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.
