As I lay awake at night

Everything is quiet and still

I think about the day¿s events

And how my life is filled



My family is important to me

I love them all so much

We may live far apart for now

But we always keep in touch



The gatherings are way too few

There¿s always a lot to say

Why does the time go so fast?

I wish they didn¿t live far away



I know how lucky we all are

There is so much love to give

We know we have each other

What a wonderful life we live

The silence seems unbearing

The why¿s and why not¿s are stifling

I cannot find the words

My mind is just a blur

No matter how the clouds may come

I feel so deep inside

That when I see your smiling face
