A week ago, someone very close to me passed away unexpectedly, I cant attend the funeral and am not dealing with this very well. I dont know who to talk to. I went looking for churches to pray or think or something (ANYTHING!) but they were all closed. I feel lost and am questioning everything, the "supportive comments" dont help and I dont know what to do. Im losing motivation to do anything about anything. :(

Hi sweetie, im so so sorry about what youre going through and i feel your pain I lost my twin sister and my brother in 2009 exactly 12 days apart and right before my birthday it was the worst time in my life so trust me I do feel your pain and I can honstly tell you that the only thing that got me through it was prayer, and staying close to my higher source. Everytime I would have a dream about them I would wake up and talk to them because I know that was the only way they could come to me. I still have a big hole in my heart that will never go away but I know that they are ok because I asked God (my higher source) to reveal it to me and I know beause I feel it. Death is always hard but its apart of life we just have to find away to accept it and the good part of it is now I have more angels looking out for me. Talk to them they can hear you, talk to your higher source he can hear you too, and know that time heals all. Im praying for you and I know you will get through this in time.

it's hard and time is you biggest battle but still you can win.  we all heal within time but that doesn't mean you/we forget.  take it one day at a time and hold fast to what you know...  your higher power what ever that may be.

 i cried last week over my brother (best friend) and it has been years.  i had the nightmares, i had the moments where a song remind me and broke me  down.  all i am saying i haven't forgotten but it has gotten easier!  and i know just because it is easier now compared to then that by no means to say i don't love less now.

i lite a candle for you this cold night to light the way and provide warmth.

it's so very easy to just shut down and try to lock the world out. I lost someone I loved very much quite suddenly & did just that. I did the same... didn't go to any of the services or even the grave-site until recently. In time I've come to realize that it was not only because I couldn't believe that he was actually gone but because I wanted to remember him the way I saw him last. I think that's better that way personally for some of us. It may cause issues for some with "closure" but sometimes that's ok I think? I will always have him in my heart just like you will always have your loved one in yours. You just need to remember that one day you will see them again and until then just keep going .. in time the sadness will slowly dissipate but you will have to just keep remembering the smiles.
