Just remember, that putting an animal to sleep is the last act you can do to take care of them. It is a courageous act out of love.

I'm sending you a hug. Your mom's dog already acomplished her mission by being with her and giving her unconditional love as all pets do. Whatever it is of her, will be for the best.

Animals have such light and loving spirits! You can honor her memory by always thinking about the good times you, your mom and she had together.

I stayed with my dog when they put her to sleep, even though the vet staff thought she was gone before she really was. I'm glad I did, she would have done it for me.

I'm so sorry for your loss and your pain. ::hugs:: But everyone has already said it...it is the right thing to do and you are not taking away her life, you are taking away her pain and giving her light and love. The one that needs the healing is you, and I hope that you are surrounded by warmth and love enough to help you do so. Helping your mother to recover from this loss will help you, and her helping you will help her, so I hope you will both stick close.
