When I had children I decided to start a new tradition.  Instead of me being the only recipient of "a gift" on Mother's Day, I decided to give something meaningful to each of them as well so every year I buy, hand make, write or bake etc... something that let's them know that the reason I celebrate that day is not to receive gifts, favors and or praise...it's to celebrate the gift I 've been given of being their MoM.  Even though my sons are all grown up now,  I continue to carry on the tradition in hopes that it will remain.  Here's this year's gift.  It'll accompany a picture/music montage I've created of their lives.  Hope you like it.  Any comments or constructive criticism are welcome.

The Measure of My Love

How much do I love you ?
I'm afraid, this I can not say..
because my love is so much more,
than mere words ever could convey.

The 3 of you are all at once,
my heart & my treasure.
Your worth far more to me
than Silver or Gold ,
It's impossible for me to measure.

But let me try, without a tear,
to explain just how I feel.
To open up my heart for you,
and show you what is REAL!

the spirit that's within mine….

my fortune & my design.

How blessed I am to have you,
at the very core of me….
So wise and good, you always know

And so I have come , to be someone
