Hi Everyone,

Here it goes. I'm currently separated from my wife heading for a divorce sometime next year. That's all fine and we remain friends which is nice, but I am currently seeing this Indian woman who I have fallen in love with and she has with me. Here's the issue - she's an Aries!

Now, being the capricorn I am I have read some disturbing things about Aries like - they can be flirty and may bounce in and out of relationships. She has told me that she had a 3 year affair with a man when she was with her ex husband but that was because he never gave her any love, more of a friend relationship then anything, one of the reasons she left him.

I really do love her but do not want to be hurt as I know it will destroy me. Can anybody shed some light on Aries and whether what you can read about them is true? She doesn't have all the typical traits of an Aries but I have seen a degree of flirtiness with her which I don't like. Is there somebody married to an Aries that can put my mind at ease?

I can't imagine letting a person's astrological sign determine whether or not I'd want to be in a relationship with someone any more than I would his hair color, race, nationality, etc.  If you're in love with this woman, and she's in love with you, isn't that enough?  If she has habits or characteristics that bother you (you may have some that bother her, too!), then maybe you should just discuss them honestly and respectfully with her and try to work things out.  If they can't be worked out, then maybe the relationship won't work.  But that has nothing to do with her astrological sign, any more than, for example, her intellect has to do with the town she was born in.  Maybe there are certain generalizations that can be made about groups of people, but it's always dangerous to distill them down to individuals.  History has taught us to be very careful about that kind of thinking.

I hope that you can find happiness, either with the woman you're involved with now, or with someone else.  Just don't destroy something that could be very good based on something as nebulous as the date of her birth.

(I don't mean any offense to the astrologists here, but I think you'll understand what I mean!)
