Hi everyone!
I've been having a very rough time lately, things in my family have gotten stressful lately. My parents are very both very depressed, my father especially seems to be pulling away from things he use to enjoy and also becoming even more ridged. My mom is just retreating into her head, which troubles me. Both of them use me to vent their frustrations with each other, which is really starting to drag me down. I've feel like I've been doing all I can to help them and I'm just so exhausted with it now.
I have also decided that it's time for me to leave the family business and follow my career dreams. This situation has pushed me to do what I've wanted to do, but was scared to do.  I have my first interview tomorrow. Please send me prayers and positive energy that the interview goes well!

Sending you a big Grandpa hug and hope that you will succeed....it's always good to try to follow ones dreams....and I agree with you...this seems to be the time to do it.....if you succeed it might even give you more energies to be an help to your parents.....the way it function today are not good for any of you....and an awakening might arise if the pattern is broken.

Good luck...both to you and your parents  (they have a hard time so don't judge them to hard)

Remember, it's ok to set good boundaries with family too.  It's not always easy, yet necessary.
Setting boundaries is a loving thing to do for yourself and for them too.
