I feel like am going to blow up !!

People are taking advantage of them..
on e has demensia / altimers .......... and is very mean one second ........

then the next she thinks everyone is out to get her ....the next she is praying..

I have had lack of sleep .........I close my shop and go to her home and watch her .... its 11pm here Im usually asleep by 8 .............

I keep saying I cant give up ..shes family but .. I dont know if what I am doing is the right thing.......can I do this?

It is so funny that you posted this...I just got in a conversation with my sister about our father who passed a couple years ago and how everyone took advantage of him when he was diagnosed with demintia. I am sorry that you are suffering right now, I will light a candle for you to clear negativity away to allow some good omens to move into your current situation....blessings to you and yours.

the taking advantage of --- is in the form of a 2nd morgage ............ credit cards .......bank drafts

I haven't slept in days...............

Hi Deborah,

Been there myself also...
Your a loving and caring lady...
Just think it could be us some day...
What got me through it was none else would and in the end they knew how much you meant to them..

When one is sick and in pain they don't mean to say or do mean things,
Or be demanding to us...

Maybe in your city or town you can call for day help...
Nurses come in and help out and also cleaning ppl meaning come in and help clean there home....
The state pays sometimes if there on a low income for them self's..

I know how hard it is..
My husband and I didn't rest also.. + I was 7 to nine months pregnant with my first and only child and working full time and running back and forth 100 miles away to get to my mom when they needed me to sigh papers to have her have surge in the nights..
I would do it all over again if she was here..

My thoughts and prayers are with you all...
It does get better in time my friend...

Debs I sort of know where you are coming from my mother in law has a terrible diagnosis from the Nuerologist and we help to look after her as she cannot be left alone. My father in law is in bits and is her full time carer often with no sleep due to the symptoms of her illness.

I don't have an answer for you, I can only offer an ear and a large reiki hug. Its often said we are never given a burden we can't handle but it sounds like you can't do this entirely on your own. I would suggest that you look for some extra support from a caring agency set up for dementia sufferers. We have a few in the UK but not sure about your side of the pond?
