This is interesting.. I dont know why
Sophia Mason did not include the 30 and 45
degree aspects...

I turned them on - normally I only use Ptolomy
aspects ( no parrallels ) and I got an equivelent
result to her interpretation. My first guess is that
she did not have a computer at the time and
it was her observation of the chart - or perhaps
she was simplifying the judgement  ? I really dont
know...

The sun is at 2 degrees 20 minutes and 51 seconds
I think she probably assumed that it was out of
orb at exceeding 2 degrees.

My understanding - not what she said - is that
one degree orb is the actual target maximum orb
and then if there is nothing else possible then
slowly increment say to 1 degree 30 minutes
or even 2 degrees.

Venus is Semi-sextile ( 30 degrees ) with an orb
of zero degrees 38 minutes and 27 seconds.
Why on earth this was not mentiones I have no idea.
Venus is in Fall but she hardly in any of the techniques
seems to refer to dignities et al in this technioque
or any of the other ( diurnal ) techniques...

Opposition seems to be ignored in favour of
conjunction to the angles.
Anyway she says :-

with an emphasis placed on the first and fourth houses
and rulers thereof.

I use houses seven through twelve for the visitors team
with the emphasis on the seventh and tenth houses and
rulers thereof.

If the home team has more aspects involving the

If the visitors team has more aspects involving the
seventh and tenth houses the visitor wins.

You should have one or both of the following
configurations to determine the winning team
 1. Look for lots of aspects to planets in angular houses
 2. Look for lots of aspects involving the ruler of an
     angular house cusp.

If you come up with large groups of aspects with seventh
or tenth house configuations, the visiting team is likely
to win.

If you come up with a large group of aspets with first
or fourth house configurations the home team will win.

It doesnt seem to matter if the aspects are hard or soft.
What does matter is how much activity and energy is being
generated toward an angular house or rulers."

This is a more complex approach than I took to the Real vs
Milan game which I just did using without the rulers of the
angles.  Essentially, just taking the simplist approach
following what Sophia calls the "energy" of the chart.
But looking at the chart with the rulers ( pluto ruling
Scorpio, Uranus ruling Aquarius ) using these rules
I would still judge for the home team ( Real ) to win.

What is your opinion ?

And yes, they did!  Milan won 3:2!
