I would use John Addey's method for predicting winner of horse race. Race card for this race is here: horses.sportinglife.com/Racecards/0,12495,339566,00.html
5 house cusp is at 21Ge17 (Campanus house system) and first aspected planet is Su at 23Li23.
If we look at race card only "Three mirrors" has colors which fits with Su(yellow) in Li(blue) and according to this method that horse would be winner. Tomorrow we will know the result.

I know Sepherial did some extensive work on horse racing
and other forms of speculation. I had heard of a new book
recently published that uses the weight of the horse and jockey
but apparantly it is fairly calculation intense and I have not
had the time to look at it.
Generally I use a diurnal based chart for teams and have
good success like if the baseball team is playing at home
will they win. Essentially, using Sophia Mason's method.

Have you tried any of these sources ?

I am doing a project currrently with three people to win
at slot machines and that is going very well. An intense
amount of work on my side though but slowly getting
a good handle on this form of gambling.

Seaneen, do not waste your money, I am not master when it comes to predict horse race winner, I just want to test this method if it works.
But if you already did, I wish you luck.
The main problem with this method is delay start; than 5 house cusp change and some other planet might be in combination!  

No, I did not try. I use mix of color method and Frawley's rules.
I would like to see some of your examples with explanation because I best learn from examples, not theory. Share some of your examples with us (with chart of course).
