We are the worst critics our lives will ever have - we are harder on ourselves in our decisions than anyone else could ever be. So when we judge something as bad (yes it is only our judgement) then we act accordingly. Each situation in life is actually isolated in our fears and pleasures. While we may not realize it the judgement is all there is and we are doing it for ourselves all the time.

An old man with this belief lives at the brink of jungle near a hill.
He has a young son and a beautiful horse. Once roaming in the jungle his horse disappeared and virtually lost. His neighbor came to his house for sympathy .But he said I don’t think it is a lost for me. Few days later his horse returned from the jungle with two wild horses. His neighbor came to his house for congratulation. But he says I don’t think so. His neighbor returned to their homes with the comments ‘What a stupid person he is ’
His son tried to train the wild horses. One of the horses gives him a hard push while ridding and his legs injured.
Again his neighbor came to his house for sympathy. But he says I don’t think so.
After a week a war started with neighboring country. One day soldiers of king entered the village and forcefully recruited all young man to fight. They left his son as his leg was under treatment.

I once wrote a poem that falls right into this category. I wrote it out of frustration with my co workers who kept asking me; "How come you're smiling today?" Here is my poem;
Please don't ask me why I am smiling
Don't as me why I am so happy
If you could walk just one day in my shoes
You may not see anything to smile or be happy about
But looking past the burdens at the blessings in between
Gives me the courage to face each day with a smile
If I ever lost the ability to smile
Life would surely not be worth living
So please, don't ask me why I am smiling
Just accept that I am and join me.
