not all women do, but this tendency is quite common in some sections of the society.

I voted no.

Since the question is about women, rather than people, I assume it's about whether they exaggerate more than men. I don't think they do.

In terms of truth, I think it's important to understand that there are fundamental differences about how men and women think, and therefore, often, when applying male logic it will seem as if a female is being dishonest, even if she isn't.

Example:

He says: I don't want fish.
He means: I don't like fish, and I don't want it, ever, because I don't like fish.

She says: I don't want fish.
She means: I don't want fish right now.

Essentially, from a mans perspective, everytime a woman says something, just remember there is an unspoken "right now" at the end of every sentence where it would make sense. Of course there are exceptions, since there are exceptional people, but generally this will save a lot of hassles.

Exaggeration cannot be associated particularly with  women; we all tend to exaggerate depending upon the situation.
Women usually suppressed part of society, so they  engaged in exaggeration slightly more than men under some circumstance

We are human with emotion... and woman simply have and show more emotion than man. Everything they say or everything they think will color by emotion and in man's view, it seems that they show exaggeration. BTW i love charlesman answer .
