If you look at each post, then you will also notice that the box clearly state who has said what.

Even if I don't sign this Post with Rhutobello, you will have little trust that other members then me has posted the answer....because only I have the "voice" or "key" to display Rhutobello on the side....just like you can almost can be sure that your post display Krishnakumar M R.

When we sign post, then we can do so because we feel it is the right thing to do....or if other family members use our account to post their view.....which then not necessary must be the account owners view.

As for email...pm...or more personal interaction, then I always use my sign.

As for Hello.....we have the intro forum where we hope new members introduce themselves and say hello.....to say hello in each post will be overdoing...and I think a bit annoyance in the end.....but if one step in as a new member it will be fine if they do it. ....

In short...do what you feel come natural for you...I am sure most other do the same.

Life creates life.....even "small talk" is better then "No Talk".....but I agree....to Much "Small Talk" can repel members who want a more serious approach to our subjects....so we urge you all to start topic that is close to your hearts

Hello Rhutoji,

I do not agree with your point.

Even though we are the only person posting the message, we need to mention our name and say thanks or regards.

Lets be practical, do we send a mail without mentioning our name (whether it is personal or official). Don't we all following some discipline in the mail. We all follow some basics in mail. Isn't it ? When we follow this rules for personal or official mails, why not at General forum.

In the same context 'hello or hi'. We never send any mails to our boss or our friends without mentioning it. Are we not following that ? If we are following it one place why not at here. Moreover while sending mails to any person most of the time we know the other person is known to us and we start our mail with hi. If we are following this for even known person why not at general forum where so many new and unknown person post messages.  I feel its a good habit. Posting a msg without hi or ending the msg without their name looks so odd

Finally, we all know that practice makes a man perfect. If we practice like this (without hi or signature), we may tend to send the mails like this fashion (whether personal or official... Which may or may not spoil our reputation). Saying hi at the time of induction of the company is alone not enough like wise saying hi introduce yourself alone is not sufficient.

Please do not mistake me if I said anything wrong.

Thanks

Krishna

Well...you might disagree...that is your right....

But the only practical thing is....Do what YOU find right....other will do what they find right....as long as all parts behave...then all part are doing the right thing.

By introducing the "demand" for starting, and ending a post with pleasantries , will only create negative reactions, if it not comes natural, is it not a way to go.

Call it different cultures...different way to see thing, but if we "officially" say one shall do it....then those who don't like it will still not do it, but be negative for the demand...those who are for it, will show to the "official view", and be negative because we can't control those who avoid pleasantries .

If we look at this thread....and image us into a "reality", then we are discussing face to face...and there is no one starting each sentence with "hello" and end it with their name....this is equal...just in writing because of great distances, I could more understand the demand if the display was anonymous, but we all have a clear image of who is posting what.

If we give it a further thought, then I can start my Greetings with hello and end it with Joe Doe....or Donald Duck....or Big Mack....it is just a name....that none are able to confirm in an easy way, if it is my own....so what must count...is it not how we behave in our discussion....and the fact that we have our name displayed on it each time.....and as many knows....My name is NOT Rhutobello......it is a FICTIVE NAME..but it is my Net name....will that be the same that all my 10 394 post then must be downgraded?  What have changed? who have I led behind the curtain?

Krishnakumarji,

When I joined this forum about 5 years back there was no Meditation and Mind Control forum, no Inspiratinal Quotes forum. Now they have made so many forums so that a person interested in that topic has to go straight to that forum and read the postings. It becomes easier. You are welcome to read what you find is interesting and I know that personal experiences, which previously, quite a few members posted, were always interesting but now so many members have moved on and not posting anymore. So it depends upon us to make this site more interesting by posting posts which will give lots of information, knowledge and create interest in the subject.

You do your best to post such posts and I shall also try posting more and more such posts.
