They say if we remember history we will not repeat.  Unfortunately it also keeps alive all the hatred and pains of loss.  Sometimes I think:  Perhaps we should forget.  Not the people, not the place, but the violence of the whole thing.

Look at what has happened since 9/11.  The whole world has gone to war on terrorists.  And isn't that an exercise in futility.  Terrorism by its very nature can not be fought outright.  It can only be handled after the effect.

And to try and fight it there has been abuse and terrorism perpetrated against a group of people blamed for the attacks, whether they had anything to do with it or not.  A very small percentage of fanatics perpetrated a very hateful attack in the name of their God - Allah!  And a whole religious group has been abused ever since.

Historically Christianity has been the banner under which just as many hurtful attacks have been perpetrated.  And yet, in the Christian countries of the world (North America included) we forget their terrorism on the world at large and continue to worship our God.

This kind of thing will make us a gettoized world of live here if you follow this particular religion - leave if you do not conform.  Is that what anyone wants for our world?

So I say on this terrible anniversary of so much death and destruction - lets forget.  Forget that a small contingent of extremists perpetrated a dreadful act and embrace our brothers in peace - no matter what religion.

God bless, J

Remembering merely keeps it fresh and alive.  Take the value of the lesson - leave the violence of the lesson.  Then and only then will you move forward.  Do not get stuck in such thinking that anticipation will become reality.  How much will your thoughts have created a further event?

I did not shout my message - why did you?

I, for one, find the whole thing to be a grand puppet show.

The war is terror is politics, plain and simple.

This is evidenced by that fact that whomever flew planes into the towers are guilty of highjacking, kidnapping, smuggling, destruction of property, mass-mass-mass-murder as well as conspiracy to commit these crimes.

All of these things are illegal and we already have laws for them - yet the emphasis is placed on TERRORISM - why bother placing the emphasis on terror unless you want to control the masses and know that them being afraid will make them accept loss of freedom for a bit security?

In the spirit of the post, however...

History teaches us that we don't learn from history.
Thinking/feeling something attracts it into being.

So yeah, I agree. Forget it.

But guess what, the abovementioned politicians are owned by the same people who own the media - and they are not going to let us forget.

I guess the best course of action to achieve it would be to

1. Keep the TV turned off.
2. Envision TV as an entity - much like a polytheistic God - and curse it, making it weaker - much like stabbing a voodoo doll. (Hey, we are mystics after all!) =)
