DIET -- VEGETARIAN, TEETOTALER

Q I would like to know why, if a person practices the Commandments and does good to every one regardless of whether they be good or bad, why is it that he has to abstain from meat?

A Sister, I will explain to you. All that you see in the world can be divided into five divisions or categories, based on the five elements ---earth, water, fire, air and ether. The human body is made up of all five elements --- earth, water, fire, air and ether. The human body is made up of all five elements, but the soul, the essence of the Lord, gives it life. Because it is only the human body that contains all five elements, it is called the top of creation.

The first division is that of the plan kingdom, the main or active element of which is water. The second is that of insects, reptiles and worms which live under the ground. They have most active in them the elements of earth and fire. Fowl, including all types of birds, belong to the third class, and the three elements most active in them are water, fire and air. Those belonging to the fourth category are the four-legged animals, such as cows, buffalos, horses, and the like. They lack only ether, the power of discretion. Human beings are in the fifth class, at the very top of creation, as all the five elements are active in them.

One's feeling is in proportion to the number of elements that are active and the degree to which they are active. For example, if you pluck a flower from the garden of your neighbor, there will be no punishment. She will only abuse you or frown at you, or you will just incur her displeasure. If you kill her chicken, she may file a suit and you may be fined; if you kill a horse, you may be imprisoned; and if you kill a human being you may be hanged or receive some other form of capital punishment. However, in this world, we can never live on the dead; the living can live only on the living. We cannot live by eating stones, nor can we live just by drinking water or by breathing air. Life has to live on life. So, the saints advise us to collect the least amount of karma while living in this world, and for that reason they advise us to live on fruits and vegetables. They belong to the first division, and even they have souls, but the karma involved by eating them is not as great as that which we would incur by living on or in any way destroying the life contained in those belonging to the other categories.

Yet it is impossible to live in this world without some so-called innocent killing; as, for instance, when we walk we kill insects; when we talk we kill insects; when we breathe we kill insects, though they are not visible to the naked eye. This whole room is filled with creatures without even realizing it. We are killing by talking, by breathing and even when shaking hands. Whatever we are doing, we are killing. The room is full of souls.

If you are given a hundred and eighty pounds of weight to carry, you will be crushed under it and will not be able to go even a step. So saints always advise us to collect the least amount of Karma. That means that because we have to live and we an live only on the living, they advise us to collect the least possible load. That is why we depend upon plant life, which is a very insignificant amount of karma to collect and which can be cleared with even one or two days meditation.

If on the one hand we are meditating, and on the other hand we are killing every day, we are only balancing what we are doing and we are back where we started. How to get rid of the load we are carrying? We are advised not to collect anything for the future, and whatever we have already collected, to clear it with meditation. Then only we can go back to the Lord. That is why we are vegetarian.

What happens when u get a deep cut on your body.... there is a scream and terrible pain across you physical body which even shatters your brain cells and bring the tears roll down. The pain exists there when any animal is butchered and that pain and stress energy is stacked inside the body of the animal that we eat. So gradually what we are doing is eating the stress and pain energy and as it is known that energy can never be created or destroyed but is transformed thus that stress and pain energy is transformed in some blocks within us which are manifested across in any form in our life. This energy also plays an disastrous part where in it blocks the neutralization of ones karma (this is beyond the scope of this blog so would not write much).
So avoid killing or living on killed animals for the living of the self.

Dear Spiritalk,

Everyone is free to follow their own Diet. I have never come across any article stating that Non Vegetarian is Advisable and eating it does not carry any Karmic Load as in this article and hence Saints in India at least strictly advise us to be Vegetarian.

You might like to know that when vegetables are yanked out of the earth or a fruit is disconnected from its source, it immediately begins the death process.  And the energy of the vegetable is a part of the death that is ingested.

There is actually nothing on this planet without the energy of life or death.  To advocate vegetarianism is to advocate eating the death of an energy of life.

I did some exercises attuning to fruits and vegetables for practice in psychic awareness.  Vegetables and fruits do have an energy and a source the same as the animal and human kingdoms on our earth plane.

Dear Spiritalk,

Every living organism has energy, but the energy in plants is the least. More energy than plants is in the animals and more so in Human Being. Killing plant does not attract penalty, killing animals attract some but killing human beings attract most penalty.

Eating of Vegetables and Fruits attract the least Karmic Debt which can be wiped out through Meditation but Eating Animals attract great Karmic Debt which is difficult to wipe away.

Animals can move, attack, have feelings which are visible and greater as compared to plants. Plants cannot move from one place to another and definitely cannot attack each other nor can attack animals or human beings.

Again it is everyone's belief for them to follow and I turned Vegetarian in 1996 after being Non Vegetarian Myself.

Once I asked a Muslim Friend of mine: There are Hindus who eat both Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian Food but there are some Hindus who are strictly Vegetarian. Do you have any muslim who are strictly vegetarian? He said he had never seen any muslim who was strictly vegetarian so perhaps this concept is amongst us Indians -- Hindus.
