I am not very well informed, I must admit. But I do have some points of view. I like christianity, and the hope it gives, I do not even think it was intended to be used as it is today. Of course, some people will use it positively, but most of them are blindly following it. I am NOT making anti-christian statements here, but I still see this religion could get better.
First, I am disappointed by their intolerance towards sexuality:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=7V9-y0QWSGY -this pastor goes in a frenzy by describing a homosexual fetish about... I'd better not talk about this. Anyway, this is the only thing he talks about. What he rejects are the mysteries of the human brain, and the theory of reincarnation in which I strongly believe. He simply does not rationalise that the brain of a HS works exactly like that of the different sex. He also doesn't believe that there exists a past life- the gay's former self may have been a woman.
Wasn't christianity about love and acceptance? I am not a homosexual myself, but I don't dislike them either.
Another thing I do not understand is the ritual of childbearing in some of the variations of christianity. People are forced to have children after children, because that's what God told them. I myself have a 28 year old cousin with 6 kids already. We should be able to enjoy the little pleasures of life without the consequence of bringing souls on Earth every time. After all, all we're doing is harming our Mother Earth if we continuously multiply ourselves. I consider that having 2-3 children per family is more than enough to maintain our species.
Well, that's all I had to say, and I hope I did not bore you to death. (I find this subject boring myself, but after all it's a dillema that made me convert to a different religion.) Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
