I am an atheist... usually very optimistic...I do not believe the end is coming 2012 or any year in near future...I love my children and I am certain they are going to live their fruitful lives for many years...but recently I am dreaming the same dream from my early teenage years: I am dipping true darkness and at the moment I suppose to hit the ground-I wake up! That, and the news about volcano-eruptions and hurricanes...I am afraid something terrible is going to happen to humanity...and people are not changing their behavior...selfish and ignorant about the real meaning of life...maybe we are doomed?!

There were some strong predictions (Astrology) in the 1970s about the redesigning of the earth.  The east coast and west coast of North America would be taken over by water and out of the water of the Pacific and Atlantic would rise new land.  As a matter of interest, in the last 10 years a new island has risen up out of the Pacific Ocean just off the coast of British Columbia.

If we look down through the Mississippi Valley we see the water rising to reclaim land.  That was another hot spot predicted.  And all along both coasts we see water rising to claim land.  

In Scarborough along Lake Ontario the bluffs are falling into the water as it reclaims the land.  It is happening at the rate of inches at a time, but there is building along the top to consider.

Do people move to higher ground?  No!  Consider Katrina in New Orleans.  The city is built below sea level and has been rebuilt on the same premise.  Was this wise?  No! seems to be answer again.

Sudden things - No!  Over time the world is redesigning.  We need to be in touch with the earth to live With her rather than Against her efforts.

As Spiritalk says, earth is changing. Over the past million years, the continents changed a lot. There will be NO APOCALYPSE, so do not worry, it is a natural process for the tectonic plates to move, thus changing the relief. But yes, people are damaging our planet and over time there will be an end to Earth, but untill then if I'm right, we'll already become space explorers and will have colonised other planets. Humanity should change it's behaviour about industrialisation and resources.

Odds are the human race will survive this century but it will be tough going and we'll probably see a large reduction in population due to our own ignorance. Unfortunately humanity always seems to learn the hard way.

Reduction of population:  Interesting thought.  The rise in miscarriages is phenomenal in the producing generation right now.  I wonder..........
