I have been thinking about going vegetarian lately, from both a spiritual and a moral standpoint. I have studied and seen the production factory 'husbandry', and I do not agree with it at all. I have raised my own meat as well, providing as perfect and happy a life as possible for those under my care. I have killed my own meat, and eaten it. But for the life of me, I still cannot make it morally justifiable. On the other hand, I do love bacon, and steak and such.
How does one make the move, knowing that my large family will not go along with changing their diet as well? Should I refuse to cook? Should I instead make the change slowly, easing us out from under the burden of murder? How have others of you managed this?
