Should you try to "break though" your rising sign

I have a question about rising signs...

They are how the world sees you, right? But your TRUE self is your Sun sign! So should one try to be more open and truer to their Sun sign (who they really are) or should you just accept your rising sign is how people see you and deal with it? Because it's not who I really am.

Or do people see you as your rising sign at first, but if they really get to know you then they'll see you more as your sun sign?

Please help. I'm very confused...

Well a professional Astrologer told me, that the Rising Sun (which i think is Lagna or Ascdent), the Sun Sign, & the Moon Sign, all have equal effect on a person. Let's say around 33.33% each.

Well Sunsign is the sign in which u were born according to ur date of birth.

Moonsign is the sign in which moon was when u were born.

I will leave the Rising Sun to be explained by someone more professional or some who knows more about it.
