Well... If your quality of life is diminished because of these thoughts and feelings then you need to find a way to replace them with better ones. If medication does that for you then maybe that is what you need.
But if there are side effects that also diminish your quality of life, you need to make a choice.
Perhaps take them while you search for alternatives. I know there are many support groups, maybe that's one alternative for you?
But of course these are non professional suggestions and should be taken lightly. Serious health decisions should be consulted with a doctor.
