I am a believer in visualization and something "weird" has been happening for years now. When I think about things that I want to happen especially relating to relationships, they don't happen and most of the time it happens just the oposit.
For example I think about meeting up with a guy or kissing what ever and it doesn't happen. Well, this was more like a day dream, not sure if it would be called visualization.
In my passed relationship I was thinking very often about getting together , he was very busy and couldn't meet me  for a while, but then we broke up. Well he told me something like he wasn't sure what to do and because of that I told him that we should break up.
Now I am not sure how visualization needs to be done.

Visualization is about the mind's ability to picture a scene.  To connect it to manifestation may need some other factors going on as with the law of attraction.  

The mind is rather perverse in some ways - it only hears what it wants to hear.  Suppose you visualized a scene like a house and forgot to mention a roof and how it was formed.  You could end up getting a house that needs a lot of work due to some lack - like the roof.

The term visualisation is extremely misleading. It is obviously derived from "visual" or "vision" and therefore suggests pictures or images.

The fact is that visualisation is not just creating a mental image.

It is setting a clear goal and then creating a mental "life" including vision, sound, smell, touch, taste and emotion, based on that goal.

In other words, a successful visualisation is sensing yourself having what it is you want. Typically you'll create an image as a basis and then enhance it with the other senses, as your "primary" sense is typically vision, and most importantly feeling the way having what you want will make you feel.

In short, to get what you want, every essence of your being needs to be attuned to already having it - and that is what visualisation is for.
