The ups and downs of the economy come with some real predictable causes and cures.  In the last century we have gone really far in our technological information.  We have learned to use computers rather than people to accomplish simple tasks.  And while this may sound good, consider....what are we going to do with the people who accomplished those tasks in the past.

No consideration was given for the amount of people put out of work by computer technology.  Where would they go and what would they do.  The government, in the midst of this unemployment tried retraining of people.  But there were still more people than jobs.  Something had to change from a working society to a leisure one.

The whole idea was that the computer would free people up to enjoy their life in leisure pursuits.  But isn't accomplishment a deep seated need within human psyche?

The current economic situation was created by technology.  And curing those problems has not yet found a solution.  We will continue to have the up and down economic situation until we figure out the mathematical equation of more people, less work.

In Egypt they got so advanced because they lived peacefully so rather then wasting energy on hostility they focused on meeting their basic needs then when they had all the food they needed they could allow people to focus purely on less vital things like mathematics and astrology/astronomy and get very advanced in those areas. Till a hostile group came trying to steal their knowledge and temples only for that knowledge to be lost, or hidden better.

Money system falls into the category of hostility rather then seeking to meet all needs it is  system of security so that those with money can control the poor. So ultimately the money system is a barrier interfering with humanities experience of abundance on all levels and threatening the planets resources.

If people were living with a stronger sense of community then having technology take care of more of our basic need would mean that more people could focus on developing an evolving other things which are equally important. How ever if that technology is used to make for leisure rather to free up energy for other pursuits then that technology is crippling us by creating a dependence on it when it could be freeing us to evolve further.

Plus much of modern technology is dissonant with nature and so will have to go as harmony and balance is restored. Note the world harmony has the phonetics of the words harm and money in it in that order. Is technology that is balanced and in harmony will stay or replace the dissonant harmful technologies.

Respected All,

I would like to inform that we are moving away from the main essence of the topic

I agree with the point of my elder spritalk, mentioned that the technology is the reason for this recession. But even the person who studied and got experiance also thrown out of the company and hunting for job. Therefore his point partially holds good.

At the sametime it is not only the money which can bring happiness to all the human beings living in the world.

I think each of us in MB, should come forward and help the needy person example giving job lead, atleast helping 1 out of the million people who lost their job due to this recession and suffer along with his or her family.

We all need to think atleast few minutes. By doing this and sharing our thoughts we can definetly find out the route cause for this. And also to the extent possible try attempting to do good for others or atleast not to disturb or give trouble to others.

Therefore, we all first cultivate the habit of helping others (especially who need) and grow along with them this in turn make our economy strengthen.

Thanks

Krishna

Also considering what attracted such circumstance and what their is to learn from it. Why people have become so dependent on money and what imbalances have resulted from this or caused this.

There is a form of greed over need that exists in materialism.  It is only when materialism is overtaken by spiritualism (living in the spirit) that the solutions will be found.

On a personal note....I retired in my 40s.  I had met the man of my dreams and he was retiring from 30 years of hard labour.  I found myself wanting to be with him and have a good life without stresses of work.  We were put to living on his pensions, which were adequate and filled our dreams and hopes.  Neither of us was particularly greedy, so the pensions see us through life in a comfortable manner.  Planning is good.

When I retired I had people (my brother included) who felt that retiring in my 40s was wrong.  Work longer and more....for what?  We are and were comfortable for this to take place.  Why take a job someone else could benefit from in life?  I even had an old friend call and ask if I would join his new company and help organize things.  (Organization being a specialty of mine. )

This retirement has allowed me to pursue my avocation - I have formed my own church and work to sustain it through the hard times - the first casualty of economic down times is the organization that exists on donations.  People either don't have the money, or refuse to spend it on donations.
