Can anyone please tell me how to overcome procrastination.
I'm so ^%&*%^&% sick of it!. like right now, here I am posting on this forum instead of working. I like this site but I REALLY SHOULD BE WORKING. I feel as though my life is being sucked out of me by my own lazyness.
Is this some sort of result of a state of mind that i am/was in??

I too suffer from procrastination.  I think it is quite a widespread phenomenon.

An affirmation I like that was actually posted in a horoscope of mine that I find works well with me:

"Be the lightning"

I repeat it to myself when I am thinking of putting something off, and it spurs me into action quite often.  I still fight myself though.  I wouldn't say I was cured of procrastination.

I thought it was like a taurus thing, i was just about to begin blaming my solar sign because you know what they say about taureans that they are preper workers? BULLSHIT. most taureans i know are a bunch of lazy asses like moi!

Helps to be doing something you love or care about, then just having a taste of doing it or memory or thought of the fruits or result of the work can help fuel motivation.

I'm born the year of the snake so some call it laziness but it can actually be channeled in a healthy way whence it becomes efficiency. I have had problems with procrastination. Like I feel I ought to write down my good ideas, instead I talk about them, and dialogue with them here on the web. Which I keep doing cause I find it rewarding. Maybe I haven't scratched at a notepad long enough in this life to find it rewarding or maybe there are other more rewarding things, or maybe I know what reward there is and have been procrastinating. It helps to think of it as service and helping the whole.
