Black magic is energy work done with ill intent fueled by negativity and meaning for bad to come of it. White magic is the opposite, energy work done with good intent meaning for good to come of it. Both of these are imbalanced. A higher level then this is clarity, which Iyengarr(a respected yoga master) teaches.

Destiny is related to the word destination. The belief that each aspect of the whole is created to serve a purpose and that the process and journey each part goes through is providing the experience lessons and stimuli each soul needs to transform and to best serve it's individual purpose.

While these lessons can come any myriad of ways  and each soul is free to make many choices a long the way the situations encountered will still be providing the challenges each soul needs to grow and learn. When one has learned they move on to new lessons and/or are given more responsibility. If one fails to learn then they will continue to find them self in situations which provide the stimuli needed to learn.




Myths can be very inspiring and it is healthy for the imagination to think and hear of mythical characters and adventures. Also every evolved culture I know have has developed myth and lore.

Idealism must be balanced with pragmatism as one with out the other is enough to drive one crazy.

Genetic programming can be an advantage or something that needs to be overcome if one is to reach their full potential. For example if a fruit tree if brought from from a warmer climate it must adapt beyond it's genetic inheritance if it is to fulfill it's destiny of providing fruit to be eaten best it can.

Perhaps in the greater scheme of things you were destined to overcome adversity so that you could learn and become stronger.



I am having trouble seeing how much of the first paragraph pertains to past lives. Spirits roaming the earth is different from a soul in one life and that soul in a life lived before.

There may be many explanations but the one that fits best is the possibility that a soul can live many lives and have little or no memory of doing so in a current life.

When a child is young they are still very connected with spirit realms generally and can lose this connection as they become preoccupied with meaningless things. Also there is physical development and maintainance which requires focus. So while the the physical is demanding attention the more subtle spiritual may be ignored or left to when it can have more focus. Once physical development reaches a high enough stage the spiritual aspect can come back in. It's not a matter of one or the other rather that there are some things which need focus to the exclusion of else.

I believe the soul incarnates physically to reach a state that can only be reach on a physical level and to use this as a tool for the spirit and a temple for the soul, and that this is not intended to be a temporary but the foundation the following levels are built through and is found to be temporary as a result of imbalance of lack of maintenance.

Returning to the uestion. God is not going to do everything for you. Sure a lot of people find comfort in the belief that an imaginary friend with a white beard floating in the clouds is going to make everything alright, but a lot of those people have many problems in their lives from not taking responsibility and expecting god to do it all. There is a healthy balance between making effort and allowing room for higher powers to act. If one tries too hard or thinks too negatively that are filling space which a higher power could work through. If one makes not effort and expects higher powers won't bother helping and will save for their energy for where it will go further.

As said proper breathing can strengthen one against all kinds of ills. Combined with other body strengthening exercises and energetic help/work one can endeavor to over come any ill.

If destiny means growing up to reach ones full potential then this can be postponed and thwarted which can only make it harder and take longer to reach but hope of one day reaching it is never lost.

A buddhist teaching is that the mind is like a lense. If enlightenment is clarity then if clarity is to be achieved one must constantly clean the lens. If one maintains clarity then they will notice when the lens is foggied and clean it.

J:  Yes, that is just the point, you and many others can not see the balance in life between the spirit and the material energies.  What is ascribed as past lives, often through hypnosis, is really the closeness of  spirit to the individual.  It is certainly another explanation with more senses IMO.

J:  Yes a child is more spiritually aware until about 7 or 8 when peer pressure and other material considerations take sway.  And there is nothing meaningless in this progressive nature as all has to be learned to enhance the soul.  The soul is in the earth life to learn the lessons necessary to take back to spirit realms.

J:  You appear here to be having your cake and eat it too.  How is the physical level a tool for the spirit and remain a foundation for the following levels?  If there is reincarnation over and over for a single soul is has to be temporary?

J:  Not everyone's image of God is a bearded man on a throne of judgement.  That is a bit judgemental in approach.  God is spirit.  It is a spirit in all life and living.  And yes, many people still call on God in their struggles.  But God also created the natural law under which all things happen and play out in our lives.

J:  Our spirit yearns for growth through service to others.  Whether it is through magic or the energy of our spirit matters little in the intent at good.  Our intentions can also lead to our growth.

I have been in the craft since before it was popular and i have helped remove many "black magic" though magic has no "tone"
as for destiny or the fates they weave a tapestry that changes with the altered vision of the individual in other words your
destiny is set as to the individual Thus " your destiny" however magic can alter your perception
you will arrive at your destiny but how you get there changes

Please familiarize your self with quotation marks. That way it is clear weather it is your own words or something quoted that someone else has said.

To clarify this a definition of spirit must be established. There is the great spirit which moves through all things and connects all beings with one another and with source. Then there are individual spirits some which serve various purposes. There is also the souls spirit which is the part of the soul which can wander in spirit form.

This is different from soul as a soul is a beings essence. This essence has transformed through all the experience it has been through. Forms it has taken in the past can be just as unrecognizable in it's current form as dirt that was once organic matter left to compost.

I find the fact that I have lived many lives to be undeniable. Some souls may be new and living their first physical life. Some souls may have dark pasts which they would rather ignore then deal with.

Are trying to tell me that patterns I see from past lives effecting this life and things coming up that the only logical and intuitively sound answer I can find to are things coming up from past lives that need dealing with is merely just spirit being close to me. So the subtle ethereal being that moves through everything is the cause of this, and why I am dealing with these things and not others. That would take some more explaining to convince me, especially with the amount of evidence I have seen point to past lives.

Some get caught up in meaningless things and do not progress. Like worrying about things that are out of control or that do not matter. Such as what other people might think.

Reincarnation gives us chances to work out our imbalances. If there is no imbalance there is no need for reincarnation and the trouble of starting to build a body again from the beginning can be saved.

In yoga there are 8 limbs. The first is the physical development maintenance and well-being. The next limb is the mind yoga. The Body is a tool for the mind. If it is developed to a high enough level it can handle the intense mental energies coming through it without being ripped apart. It can also if developed enough handle long sitting mediations without decaying. I don't know much about the other 6 limbs and I don't think I ought to until I have more mastery over the first and the second.

I did say combined with other exercises and energy work.

Breathing must be done properly to discover the full benefit of it. It also with proper practice makes other exercises much smoother. It is a necessary part of a deeper more holistic bodily maturation.

There are any myriad of ways to reach a destination.

Yes well all co-create the reality we experience. A quote I heard that I like goes something like "your potential is gods gift to you, how much of it you realize is your gift to god"

The creator gives us free will to make life interesting. If everything was predetermined it would get boring for the being determining everything. If the creator gave us potential and laid out a path for us to realize this potential then the creator would be happy if we lived out what was given and enjoyed it and feel good in the knowledge that it's creation is happy to exist. But if we add input and make it more interesting I am sure the creator would be even happier to see things turn out more interesting with input from more beings.

The story of Lucifer is that Lucifer couldn't bear seeing creation suffer and pleaded with god to do something but god let them have free will and let them choose what they will, even if it is pain and suffering. Lucifer couldn't bear to watch humans suffer from their choices any longer and descended to help them. I guess slightly different from other versions of the story but it illustrates a point.

Thee point I made was that if one is acting foggied by good intentions they can wind up doing bad. If they act from the place of clarity how ever they can see clearly how to best act and see clearly the effect their actions will have.

well i'm going to look at this from a different angle in the bible the book of Job satan is roaming around looking for someone and God suggest his servent Job.  Which leads me to my point i believe that God is in control of everything that happens good or bad. But we are sometimes to caught up in pur "human" nature to realize the lessons behind it.  I do believe black magic is real how can you only believe the good and not acknowlege the bad. But i don't think it effects destiny but is a part of it. Your journey is preset the path your going to take had been etched out just because you don't realize it till you go through things or have experiences doesn't matter.  I don't believe we create our destiny this our course these are our lessons you exactly where you need to be
