You can't confuse your attitude with your ego. lol
Our egos grow as we do. They can expand, or be beaten down as well. An abused child has little ego, but what did they have before the abuse? Or look at it this way. A woman, whole in herself later marries and her husband emotionally abuses her. Her ego greatly deflates, and getting it back to even a fraction of what it was nearly impossible. Egotism in itself is a problem, but lets not just blame "Ego". That is not the cause of the worlds problems. Most wars you look back to had some sort of religious/cultural signifigance. Does that make there "God/Gods" responsible since they were the ones worshiped? Since they were the religious leaders? We must blame ourselves for our missteps, and try to correct them. Ego will always exist, as it must.
