The Sign of the snake biting its tail,  is as old as man has looked at the stars, And represents the life cycle, A begining and end and rebith,as with all living things, why it is donated a s the fool card, I only can persume it is related to the dog biting its own tail,  
It also is seen as the Dragon in the same maner, And also as the infinity symbole
Trees and the Earth are a living thing as with all thing so to see this Sign and relate it to the healing Spirit would also be correct even Mayan maybe
