Hi! Spirit-Talk I hear you. Such is the case I'm afraid to say but we as a society don't want to hear that bleeding heart stuff. To too many criminals use their past upbringing as a justification for their crimes (denial)! To many jump into marriage to escape one situation to only find out they want to jump out of that situation (marriage vows) and after a while they get into another situation, and when that high has plateaued, they find another high, another lover. So, we got all sorts of stuff that gets on the insane side and than we have what you have presented. Thanks     Let me end this by quoting someone we all respect and value his opinion.

Wasn't it Einstein who said that the definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results?

Change is inevitable, growth is a choice.  Changing our thinking as a human will take time and patience.  We have more thinkers these days and maybe that will ring in some positive change.

Your making me think   Yes, if we really want change we discover that change must start within ourselves and no where else. Paradoxically speaking there is a level where you don't try to change but are changed through the power of no effort. I'm sure you understand this. Insanity, I resemble that remark.  

LST I have to disagree(sorry), that outside things change us. We are the only ones in control of us. We can "choose" to follow and let things change us to the way of things, or we can "choose" to continue to be our own true selves and just be us.

You and I must be twins, I resemble that same remark to a tee.

Hey, your just fish on a hook. You go this way and that way but you wind up in the boat anyway. Or, are you a totally surrendered being?   God brings His children home inspite of themselves!! Tell, seasoned vet, how do you know there are not other levels where my statement is true? How do you know as you yourself have said you are novice at this and yet knowing this-you disagree?  Disagree away=no problemo   Thats fine Karlene.
