Alot of good questions have been asked in this form and alot of good answers have also come about. I wish to put forth an observation and just maybe an end conclusion for why our world and its people are the way we are.
We all think this is a world of duality, but is that the truth. One of the spiritual rules we live under is (As inside so also outside). I think that we made a choice as to how we would precieve this world of ours when we were in the Garden of eden. The tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil and the tree of life. We all know the choice that was made, but what does that choice mean to us? I think that we choose a polorized formate for our thinking process and for how we would see the world around us. And like a broken two way radio we now exist sending signals out to creation, but living unable to recieve, unless we have some special gifts.
I think that our children are born whole and with a consciousness more in line with that of the creator, but we being in a world of duality and not seeing things clearly as adults, we do things that are not in line with the way the creator has intended. So our children see this and know that something is not right. Our children are not yet mature so they can not yet communicate to us adults just what is not right. This creates inner conflict in our children. Conflicts that they can not settle, so to live with themselves and function they to have to except duality consciousness so that they can get along with the world that they live in.
When in duaity the best that we can ever do is keep the balance. And the world and all that we create has no choice but to reflect back at us our own true inner nature. As iside so also outside!
So it seems to that the only way that we will ever enter the new golden age of piece is for each and everyone of us to settle our own inner conflict. If we want to be one with the world around us and our brothers and sisters then we must become one on the inside of us.
We have a left and a right brain, we all have a male and a female side to us all. We even have a conscious mind and a sub-conscious mind. We have an awake consciousness and a dreaming consciousness.
To me this all boils down to me becoming willing to do my own personal clearing work to settle my own inner conflict.

People are most likly going to get tired of me and how I see things before very long. But this is the time for the big push to help people wake up.
To better understand duality consciousness, I have this little explination. Look at our consciousness like you would look at a computer. All computers have a format. Lets say that we as humans us Microsoft as our format and lets say that our format is one that is polorized. We tend to see all things as having an opposite. And Spirit has a format that is unified, a consciousness of one, lets call Spirits format Dos, from Mack. We all know how information from two computers with different formats gets all scrambled. This is why it is so hard for us to get clear and conscious contact with Spirit. This why our information from Spirit is not always clear. And on top of that we also have an ego. It is the earth mind and it filters all of our promptings, urges,and guidance. After that it is then put on our polorized format.
We all know the truth, because it is in us at some level. We see life as being the opposite of death, but death is just a moment of transition from one life to the next. We all see light as the opposite of dark, but we all know that dark is just the absense of light. We all see hot as the opposite of cold, but we all know that cold is the absense of hot. This one of the symptoms of duality consciousness. And the list goes on and on.
If the best that I can do is to keep the ballance, then war and peace, good and evil will never end.
Our children all know that something about our world just is not right, but they can not put their finger on what that might be. :smt017
I believe all of us have a vision and a purpose in life, we all have joy and bliss waiting on us to come and find. What I have been shown about duality consciousness is that it is the reason why we are not connected to Spirit, the land and each other the way we could be. It is the reason why we can only use just a fraction of our talents and abilities.
The Spirits never did any of my personal work for me, but they did meet me half way when I did my part. All religions do speak of a process to work if we dig into them deep enough. As far as I can tell it is about me changing how I think and how I treat others around me. All of my dramas and conflicts in the end have always been about me and what the Spirits have wanted me to see about myself.
All of this is from a vision that I had because some Native Americans shared with me what they call a Vision Quest.
But then again these are just the ponderings of a mad man who gets things from sitting around a fire, shaking a rattle and beating on a drum.

You are absolutely correct! You were born into a world of duality! This is something that is no longer appropriate, but it is the way science and the world presently operates. 'Cause and effect', 'right or wrong', 'good or bad', 'light or dark', a complete world of living in opposites. I found out the hard way in my late teens early 20's that if something was 'wrong' then the opposite of that must be 'right'! WRONG! It is somewhere in the middle.

I asked you on another post if you were an early 'Crystal Child'? (Although I don't like labels. . .) I have a site that you may like to explore. This excerpt was taken from there. I hope this partially answers your question.

Sixth Dimensional Consciousness
=========================

The next step in consciousness is to move beyond duality and into a
realm where all is seen as part of the greater good and for the good of
the greater whole.

This advanced state is known as Sixth Dimensional Consciousness, and is
the realm of the Christed Child or Magical Child. All Crystal children
are born into this level of awareness. They have immediate access to
the magical and spiritual aspects of who they are, and are able to blend
imagination and creation in fantastic and joyous ways. If they were
left to their own devices, they would immediately create a magical planet.
But, they still have to deal with a largely Third Dimensional consciousness, and they struggle with the patterns and behaviours that they find here.

When an adult Indigo consciousness makes the shift into the Crystal
state or awareness, they enter into Sixth Dimensional awareness and the
Christ Consciousness seed. They are rebirthed, in consciousness, as a
Christed or Magical child. With this comes an awareness of the playfulness
of life, and the play of Spirit through human beings on this planet.
Then all life is seen as magical and blessed, and all life is directed
and advanced through the work of spirit. At this point, the being
understands the principle of surrender to the flow of the greater evolutionary wave, while still exercising the right to be a creator on the
individual level.

The Crystal consciousness, when it has matured enough at this level,
can then move into the Seventh Dimensional level, where awareness opens onto the nature of the spiritual mission of the being. A Crystal or
Christed adult at this level is ready to take on a planetary mission as a
carrier of higher dimensional consciousness to others. The work may
involve teaching and healing on a grand scale, or it may simply be to carry the energy in the auric field so that others may access the higher
vibrations in their own upwards ascension path.
