Yes - I do blieve in sould mates.....but for me there seems to be a time frame involved.  Maybe itis all n my mind.....BUt I meet every once in a while a person who is so familiar so comfortable that I must know them from a past life - soul mates in some ways....BUt many have come and gone......the odd one resurfaces from time to time and it still feels the same.

I've been with mine for 27 years. And even through the ups and downs of raising 3 children we always new we were meant to be together.

Soul mates are indeed real.  They transcend time and gender.  Age is not a factor, and neither is gender.  I have meet three of my soul mates in my lifetime... One I befriended when I was a young boy.  We moved apart after a couple of years, and after that only saw each other once a year. Now as an adult we see each other every 3 years or so.  She is married now and has several children.  When we get together we start talking and pick up old topics and new, as if we had never been apart.  3 years is the same as a day to us.
The second one I met when she was dating a friend of mine.  We instantly knew we were two of a kind.  We could converse on the same topics and had the same likes and dislikes, and would often talk for hours on end.  As with the first one we could finish each others thoughts and sentences at will.  When we get together we instantly start talking about anything and everything, as we are on the same mental wave length.

Neither of the first two ever developed into a sexual relationship.  This was a different type of soul mate.

The third one......well I married her!  Wasn't letting that one get away...ever!  Perfectly compatible in every way.  We don't fight, and rarely argue.  We know each other so well we compliment the weaknesses of the one with the strengths of the other and vise versa, in such a way that we are a single unit in life.   I am indeed a lucky man.

May you each find your own soul mate in this life.  As friend or as lover, age, gender, it doesn't matter.  They will compliment your life in ways you can't foresee, until you have experienced it for yourself.

I used to believe in fairy stories about us all being twins, about an angry god splitting us in two.... I used to believe also that it was my lifes quests to find my physical other half. But one day i woke up to realise that i didnt need to find a physical half.... that the soul mate I was looking for was actually inside me.....
