Hi,
I know this has absolutley NOTHING to do with this forum.But I am fixing to be in a dilemma here.( I think).Here goes,I'm a 37 yr old divorced female who has met a man 2 weeks ago.HE took me out on a very nice date Fri and Sat night.And then called today at work and took me to lunch.Here's the question now that you have the background.His birthday is this sat 7/16 he will be 44.What do I do? Do I get him a gift? Do I just buy a card? or do I just say Happy Birthday? And if the answer is a gift,then what in the world would I get him? I'm leaning towards the card deal.What do any of you guys think? Your input would be GRACIOUSLY APPRECIATED.

I would think it depends on how you feel about him, I personally would go for a card and some little trinket thing, like a key chain with his birth month or something like that. Nothing big that says, I'm yours but to show you have an interest in seeing where things go

Watch his eyes, they will tell you anything you wish to know about him.

lets see... i am man... and when i used to take a lady out... i expected very little from except her undivided attention. for my birthday i expected a call at midnight followed by ... ummmm nothing ... i'll would just take the lady out on dinner, drinks and dance date.

would i be expecting a gift ... i'd say no.

its still to early to be exchaning gifts when the relation in 2 weeks old... if i was asked for my opinion. it could send "other signals" i might not want to send or am not sure of. men can be well... pretty forward in making things out of nothing. so until i am sure i want to get invloved more... gifts would be no no. ofcourse until you feel you really wanna take this thing forward.

Thank you for all your replies.I totally agree with all of them.I think I will just buy him a card and take Him out to dinner.Simple but still sweet.He was just very thoughtful today I thought by him thinking about me and taking me to lunch.I mean how many guys do that nowadays.He scored some points on that one.He just don't know it.

I was married to a man for 13 years that ended up beating me and then I found out he was on drugs (meth).So,this man is a BREATH of FRESH AIR! He is so opposite of what I was with before.Chivalry is not dead in his book either.And I'm liking that alot.Thanks guys.Your the best!!!
