I have to say that I have heard of many "Tarot fans" that pick 1 card and meditate on it and let it be their leading star for the day.

What I most reacted ageinst was the use of the word "spread" and then start to change it until yourself are pleased, then I think the 1 card solution are better

But all means that make you or other to improve life, (leagal way ) is very good, in my opinion

Destiny with a capital D is that concept of events being pre-determined and personified as an irrisistible force or agency.  The idea that the future is already written and cannot be changed is abhorent to me.  It implies there is no realy choice in future happenings, that the future happens TO you.  WHy wake in the morning if that is the case?

On the other hand, I believe in destiny being an infinite realm of possibility with one standing out as the most likely.  The sum total of the choices that are made from second to second determine what the next second will be.  Nothing is written in stone, but everything can be predicted.

Once again, thank you, nobody has ever made me do that and now it has made me figure out what my issue is with it.

To confuse matters a bit, this does imply that in an infinite realm of possibilities there is the possiblity that contains Destiny with a capital D.

On the other hand, Rhutobello mentioned the "Realm of Tarot" and I didn't even think about it at the time.  But now I realize that I'm not 100% certain I know what it means.  Rhutobello, is it the spirit realm from which the answer comes?

First...I will agree with you that we all have the possebillity to shape our destiny...and with postetive thinking and "stayer will" you can come far!
I belive it's dumb to make statement like our destiny are made for us...that is just a sleeping pillow.

When it comes to Tarot and Tarot readings, we are again talking about belief.
If you believe that Tarot can give messages and predict future, then this messages has to come frome some place.
Some readers are good and have a very good intuation, they can predict with great accuratcy without even know the quarrant.
Is't the reader or is't the cards that gives the message?
Since each card have a "basic" meaning, I think the cards tells and the reader "translate" it.
In order to tell something that have great accuracy, time after time, you can't believe in luck that the right card's come up for the right time.
So...yes....if you believe in Tarot....then you must also believe that the messages come from "spirit world" true the reader.

If you can accsept this, then the spread itself is the most important part of the reading. With this I think of the translating. We all translate it our own way and from different angles, so if you want a second opinion on a spread...don't make a new one...but let another reader translate it

I have also read that Tarot back in the old ages was used as a learning and inspiration tool for common people.
This will then be used the same way as you do now...and other do...put up some cards and give the people posetive impulses in order to improve their life quality.
