This year has been full of trials and changes in my life and the walk I am on. It began pretty much like the last years except that this year I lost my Mother-in-law to cancer.

Sitting at her bedside the last ten days of her life brought me back to the day I lost my son. Yes, it is sad, and yet it was and is a healing process.

I am, IMO a healer, always have been but this experience brought me face to face with who I was to become and my calling.

I have always felt close to the spirits around us, those who are there day in and day out. This experience brought me face to face with some old and new ones. My son, my brother-in-law, my grandmother(s) etc.

Through this experience I feel I can help others who grieve in this process and have the urge to talk to those who have gone before. I feel this is my calling and my path in this life.

Sometimes not right away, but when an individual is ready to hear it...the message of their loved ones continuity is a really healing process.

but doesnt dealing with death.... take a toll on ur psychic abilities? like makes u tired?

I understand where your coming from about death, I've lost my Mother to cancer, my Father died from his kidneys shutting down, my Moms dog who I looked after when mom died his name was Stroppy and he was my friend, I had to have him put down because I couldn't let him suffer any longer, he also had cancer and that was the hardest thing I ever had to do, you know it still makes me feel sad just thinking about it and it always brings tears to my eyes when I talk about him, I miss him a lot.

Were you talking about the grieving person's psychic abilities? or the one that contact the deceased and bring comfort?

A medium is one who is in touch with the spirit world in all the demonstrations they do. They have a spirit guide that brings forward those who wish to connect with their loved ones. There is no depletion of abilities (or energies) in this type of work. As a matter of interest, if someone is being depleted when they do mediumship work, they are not doing it the right way. Spirit re-energizes a medium before, during and after a demonstration. There is almost a buzzed feeling.

When we lose our own loved ones, there is a healing process. To allow this to take place and our psyche to fully recover, we need to give ourselves time to heal before demonstrating psychic abilities. It is important that we can use our wish bone more than our psychic abilities and this is a time that would be manifest.
