Don't forget that those pictures were of gemstone quality not raw rocks or natural crystals, many are synthetic and others will have been dyed, enhanced, stabilized and treated before cutting and polishing. A lot of the properties will vary from those mentioned according to the different chemical make-up of your pieces too.
