We Canadians are pretty good with trying to decrease pollution, with using public transportation ( we're actually testing hybrid buses at the moment), and during the warm months ( 4 months a year) most of us bike.

(I'm not boasting, far from it... I'm just saying that some countries are making an effort).

The US is making an effort as well. It's just taken us a bit longer to get it through the heads of our politicians. I work for a company that manufactures Hybrid buses and everyone wants them...and have for the past 25 yrs. It's not new to us.

On May 15th I posted within 30 days gas would be $4.00 a gallon in the US.
AAA just released its report this morning.....The US national average hit $4.00 today.

great so all we need to do now is get Busch out of office and try get the price of gasoline lowered. All vote for Ron Paul!!!! Here in WV (USA) we are at $4.20 a gallon!!

4.35 here in Indiana and my small town has been using hybrid busses for a few years and we have many hybrid cars on the roads

Over here in southern California, gas prices are around $4.59 - $4.75. Depending on where you go. And these are just the regular unleaded!

I don't think that we will stop driving regardless of the prices. In some towns, like mine, public transportation is limited. With kids and work, it just isn't always feasable to catch the bus. So some people just have to drive. I try to limit my driving, and actually walk more, but when the weather is hot, I won't. I also have a motorhome that costs close to $200 to fill up, but I will continue to go camping. The price will not stop my vacations. I will just have less of them.

I would love a big SUV, but I couldn't afford to fill it! I honestly don't know how some people do!

I sure hope we get some sort relief soon..................
