so this is what happened.. a few days ago i met 2 couples on the street, friends of mine. i was glad to see them, we talked a little and that was all.. but that night, i had a weird dream about them...
i dreamed that one couple was in a river, with really dirty water, a big river and they were swimming and telling me to come in with them...
and the other couple sat near me, on the shore and said that they dont want in any way to get in there.. and i wake up.. very puzzled, because the two couples really get along together.. i noticed a similar dirty-water dream interpretation on the forum, but i dont think its the same

I've said this before but water is the GREATEST symbol in all dreams. As it is also in life. Water in dreams is reflectant to our life and other people's. Depending where people are in the dream in location to the water is a big clue to what they are like in life.

If the water is calm, life at the moment calm. Dark water, secrets are hidden. Clear water, life is clear to them at the moment. Rough water, life is rough. Get the idea? Pretty much very symbolic. As my spiritual advisor once taught me. "You must vanquish the water, become its master. Ride the waves. Just as windsurfing and surfboarding you must ride them, stay on top of them and go with the flow. Move with the water, become one."

The fact the water is dirty that one couple is in is perhaps saying that there are secrets or problems in the lifes of this couple. That they are playing in life, secrets they do not share with each other yet they play upon them. Hope this makes sense to you.

The other couple simply do not want to get dragged in to the others problems, which maybe they have been in the past or feel that they are.

The distance from the partners can also reflect their relationship.
