Hi there,
I'm not sure if I am posting this in the right forum or not. If not, could you please direct me to the right one.
Here's a little background..I'm a 28 year old divorced mother of two. I've always had sorta bizarre, vivid dreams my whole life but never kept a journal or anything. There were a handful of times that something would happen in real time that had my head spinning because it would jog a memory of a dream that I had when I was years younger. For example, when I was 16 years old I went to meet my biological father, a man who tried to kill my family starting with me when I was only a few weeks old. My uncle stood in front of my crib and my dad shot him in the stomach and my uncle shot him in the leg. I knew what had happened when I was a baby but I was a hormonal teenager rebelling against my mom, and I went to meet him anyway. On the last day I was there I took a shower, got out and looked at myself in the mirror. All of the sudden I had that deja vu moment. I dreamt of that exact moment when I was little, maybe 3 or 4 years old, and yes, I can remember that far back. I remember when I was in my crib crying in the middle of the night and my mom coming in to pacify me.
I dont talk to my friends about any of this because they would prolly think I'm crazy but I'm not really sure who to talk to about my dreams or how to use them the way I was intended to, whatever that is. I have talked to my cousin about them though, he is also very intuitive but his is different from mine. He said that we come from a long line of psychics so its very possible I am too. I've seen a few psychics over the years and they all told me I was very intuitive, and to pay attention to my dreams. I started writing them down a few months ago after a dream that I had seemed to predict my best friends pregnancy before she even knew. Looking back at my dream journal and events that happened soon after I had them showed that I was in fact for-seeing the future. They weren't all deja vu dreams, alot of them are dreams that had all the key players and the same message but played out different. Also, I truly believe that I've had real conversations with my mom who died 8 years ago in my dreams. It happened only 4 times since she died, but they were very real.
So the last couple of days I've had dreams that I cant really remember but something will happen throughout the day that will spark little memories of the dream but I couldn't remember the whole dream like I usually do. This rarely happens to me but its been the last 3 nights. Then last night I had a dream that this ice age storm hit the world in an instant. There were a lot of people dead and only a handful of us were alive and trying to survive. I personally knew most of the people that survived. I had a relationship with my best friend's brother (T) in the dream and secretly in real time, a few times the past couple years. In the dream he, his sisters, my kids, and other friends were there. Then all of the sudden some kind of huge space ship made by the U.S. government was rescuing us and everyone they could around the world. On the ship I saw an ex-boyfriend (A) and rekindled our relationship which has happened in real time lately. Then my friends and I went to the ships nursery and they thought this baby in a swing was their brother (T) and my baby, and I said no it wasn't because it was probably my baby with my ex-boyfriend (A).
This dream kinda rattled me and its all that I can think about today. Can you help me interpret this dream? if not can you recommend anything for me?
Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to read this.
Sincerely,
Crazy dreamer in Michigan

Deja Vu: you know when you're having a conversation and suddenly you get the feeling of Deja Vu, as if you had a dream once about being in that place with that person havign that exact conversation in the order that the sentences are said...
Actually there's an explanation for it, and it's not that you dreamt it... At the time of having a deja vu, there's a mistake happening in your brain. We have a short and a long term memory. When something happens to us in the present it first goes to the short memory, and only the stuff of meaning or through repeating ends up being stored in the long term memory. That is what normally occurs. But when we are having a deja vu experience, the memory storage is gong haywire, and the event instead of going to short term memory ends up going to long term memory. However, long term memory is associated with the sensation that it's a memory. Hence, you end up feeling as if you've seen this "before" (because if the brain wasn't going haywire that's what it would mean if something is in your long term memory), and since it's the first time it occurs we instantly infer we "dreamt" it. Depending on where the present event that ought to go to short term memory ends up in the long term memory we end up also feeling how long ago we must have "dreamt" it.
So, while I believe you may have a good memory (I remember my 2nd birthday myself), I must unfortunately say that your deja vus are the common deja vus that everbody has (and it's a very common occurance), which is the gong haywire of your brain at the time and storing the event in long term instead of short term, causing the sensation that you must have dreamt it years ago.
Predictive dreams are dreams you do not end up remembering during the actual event, but you are aware of them before the event and usually are about important impacting events in our own lives or that of people that are close to us, and very sometimes people not so close but will come into contact with. They are symbolical dreams just as much as a normal dream. And the predicted event will thus be dreamt in the usual weirdness related to dreaming. The only thing that makes them recognizable as predictive dreams from a normal dream when we wake up is the instant certainty we feel that it's a prediction, and we cannot even explain why we feel it's a prediction. I've had two of them myself, one where I knew someone I loved deeply would contact me again after all hope of ever hearing from him again had been gone and accepted. I told a few people about the dream and 3 days later I got an email from him. The people I had told about the dream were as shocked as I was. The second time, I dreamt that a certain man would be the man who would want to marry me and start a family with him... this was before I even fell in love with him, though I knew him. The dream showed in a symbolical way the nature and course of the relatoionship I would have with him. Yes, he had started to notice me that nigth for real, but he was the last man at the time I would have expected to become so serious, and I was not even really interested in him. So I woke up, exclaiming, "What? Him? No way!" Turned out the dream was very accurate indeed.
Meanwhile, usually giant disaster to the world dreams are not predictive dreams at all, insofar that they foretell a world disaster. THey usually are a vehicle for emotional lessons for ourselves. So this last dream you had is about your personal life. Because it pertains ex-boyfriends and dream relations being struck, it seems to revolve around resolving old hurts and feelings. Perhaps the global ice storm stands for a time in your life where you froze your emotions in order to survive/deal with a broken heart, disappointment in love, etc. The baby would symbolize a possible the birth of a new relationship, with the people aroudn you thinking you and a new man, whereas you think about a renewed relationship with your ex
