I woke up around 5 AM after having one of the worst nightmares of my life.  I dreamt of my uncle, who died suddenly about 8 years ago of a heart attack.  I dreamt that he was in his casket, and he was trying to get out.  His arms were stiff and he couldn't bend them nor raise them enough to push himself up.  His eyes were narrow as though they were being held together by something, but I could see his blue eyes as I remember them looking toward me, but not in a friendly way.  My uncle and I were close, and I was never frightened of him in life.  However, this dream was pure evil and definitely what you would see in a horror film.  I woke up shaking.

Death has always been somewhat frightening to me, I'm just that way.  So of course all of this bothers me very, very, much.  I just don't know what it might mean, or is it just a way of my overactive imagination getting the best of me.

by the way, this is not the first time I've had this type of dream.  I dreamt before a similar dream.  He was in his caket, trying to get out.  Only I was watching from afar, but I could see him struggling to get out and people trying to keep his corpse in it.

I think this dream represents that aspects of you that you have in common with your uncle are trying to reach out for you. These are aspects that scare you, aspects you thought long dead.
