Lately, I've had ongoing, very vivid dreams with lots of colors. I am relating my vivid dreams to two things, one, changes and problems in my life and two, redecorating my apartment (getting some feng shui related advice on that end...)

I posted this dream elsewhere but haven't gotten any replies yet, so I'll just be posting them here as they happen, because I have the feeling that they are related...

1.) I was dreaming I was at some sort of an event by a river in Germany I used to live close by, and I got a tattoo... it was on my back and it was 2 large fish, apparently, now that I think about it, it almost looked like the image of the zodiac sign Pisces... in the dream it seemed like a good luck sign for money. The tattoo had a lot of red color in it... I thought it was strange in my dream, but still lucky. I am a Scorpio, btw. This morning I wake up and feel so strongly about taking care of my finances (which don't look great at all right now) that it led me to pretty much destroy my relationship. I am miserable about my relationship now, after all I love him a lot (he's a Leo, but we've been doing pretty good for quite some time)! I do have some hope that money matters will be resolved...barely.

2.) Last night I had a dream about being by the ocean. The ocean was an amazing almost otherworldly blue and I was so taken in by it that I wanted to snap a picture to capture its beauty. There were sections of ocean, interrupted by beautiful strips of beach, really unusual. But I couldn't take a picture, because a little girl (a friend's daughter I think), I was supposed to watch, made off with it and I could not find her for a while. There were a few little girls but I couldn't tell if she was among them. I kept seeing the ocean, a beautiful blue, big waves, even as if I were in a wave tunnel, but I knew the ocean wouldn't harm me. It just so fascinate me! When I finally found her (the little girl) I got my camera back but didn't have the right batteries. I proceeded to go talk to a guy who was supposedly in charge and he wouldn't give me the right batteries back. I argued with him about it until who I perceived to be his brother came in and told him to just give me the batteries I wanted, which he finally did. I can't remember if I got to take my picture of the ocean, but I was satisfied after the guy's brother had helped me get my batteries back.

To my knowledge the ocean means knowledge and clarity,and batteries denote life energy. But I don't know much more...

I had another dream sometime last night, that just now came back to me when I was reading about Ginger tea. I was at a farmer's market in my dream and I was looking for vegetables. The market was rather empty, maybe 1 or 2 other women there. I picket a strangely elongated basket from a stack. I looked around and at some point I pointed out some fresh Ginger to a lady, but she wasn't very impressed. I picked up some green bell peppers and 1 onion. I hesitated, wondering if I should get more onions but left it at the one. I also remember seeing some large strange looking carrots. Their texture and size didn't seem right.  Then I wondered, if I would have enough money to pay for all of the stuff in my basket. I finally left to go to a pick up truck which I think was supposed to be my vehicle in this dream. The truck was kind of a cream/gold color, rather old and plain. The whole market seemed kind of plain and listless.

Hm... strange...

Last night I had more dreams, again quite strange.

First I was a some event and some guy I was there with gave me compliments on a Hoody sweater. I also remember some friend who tried to get us the best seats for something.

Then I was in my old home town in Germany and there was sort of a mission going on. It seems like I was part of the military or rescue troops. Evidently there had been a military officer who had been treating me like crap and I kept getting him dirty and mocking him, driving off on some vehicle. Later I got to an old familiar church (next to it) and things were flooded around it, with luggage floating and some clothes. I felt that my things and those of others were brought here and were safe, though.

I don't know if this was still part of the same dream, but at some point I found myself resting in front of the church and I was in a sitting or squatting position. An older man who looked like a homeless person came by with a dog who was very aggressive and/or scared and showed me his teeth. I grabbed some meat strips I had hanging in front of me (I had plenty) and threw the dog some, the dog became quiet and happily ate the food and the man smiled and thanked me.

I had yet another dream though...
In part of it a girlfriend and I were visiting with some mechanic friends in sort of a automobile shop I think and as we left one friend (who is actually a friend of my ex'sI don't like very much) was coming in and was wearing some horribly ugly glasses (similar to the fake nose and eye brow ones you can get, but more technical) with red blinking eyes on it. I made a comment like what the hell are those for and he gave something back, rather upset at my comment.
Then my friend and I went to a gymnasium (I remembered that from my time in elementary school) and there were kids doing gymnastics. I was sort of inspired by them and wanted to try out some old moves from my time in Gymnastics myself, but they kept jumping in front of me to cut into the line. I got to do a few moves but not all that I wanted.

Later the teacher was talking about another. Someone had told her that that other teacher had gotten the wrong present from her and that was why they did not get along. The teacher mentioned regretfully that she had wanted to send her another and that her herself had gotten a gift basket with champagne for her birthday from her, she understood why her teacher friend was disappointed. Then I looked to my right and saw a big round octagon shaped fish tank next to us, with clear water, fish and the teacher in a wetsuit swimming in it with the fish and thought that was odd.

At some point my friend and I left and on the way out walked past a daycare that evidently was part of the gymnasium building.

And that's all I remember...

I will start with your first dream you mentioned... it takes time and energy to puzzle the dreampieces together, so 5 dreams all at once is a bit much at the same time to translate.

You mention a river nearby in the first dream. Do you remember what the water looked like? Clear or murky? Calm or wild? And what kind of event was this?

A tattoo is something done by people to express their individuality, but also to put a lasting mark on their body of a memorable event in their life (something that had a deep impact on them).

Pisces as sign represent someone dreamy and intuitive, and connected with the spiritual (whether they recognize it or not). It is someone who goes with the flow (which might be one of the meanings of the river in your dream, depending on how it looked), but then all of a sudden may swim up against the stream. This going with the flow feature for example is readily visible in their relationships... If a Pisces partner has a certain hobby, the Pisces person can delve in it wholeheartedly and be enthusiastic about it as if it was their own passion. It's as if they wanna shapeshift into their partner. And all of a sudden it stops. Something else attracts the Pisces' attention and they jump in that wholeheartedly without ever looking back. This makes Pisces people on the one hand very easy to be with on first appearance, until they decide they had enough.

The colour red represents raw vitality, passion but is also used as a warning sign of danger, a colour used in traffic to make you "stop".

Putting all this together: I think this dream is reflecting your feelings of you having gone along too much with the flow lately, of allowing others to take the lead and you going along with everything, but that another part of you wants to have some individuality back, and wants you to stop going along with whatever other people want.

You describe the ocean as attracting your visual attention. While a body of water usually is about an emotional matter, the sea or ocean is a whole lot of emotional matter, most of which underneath the surface and most of it not visible. That's why seeing the sea or ocean is a call for you to gain deeper understanding on the emotional issue.

Wanting to photograph is another hint of needing to get a better understanding: pun 'getting a good picture' of the issue. It is a repeat of the attention, because to take a picture you need to 'focus' on the issue. The camera combined with the ocean hints that the issue is a relationship emotionally affecting you. Aside from the previous mentioned, wanting to take a picture also might mean you want to 'recapture' some past moments of your relationship.

You mention how you couldn't take a picture (cannot gain deeper understanding, nor recover the feelings of the good past moments in your relationship) because the young girl got lost. A child often stands for an innocent part of yourself. In order to enjoy joyful moments of the past, you need to stay in touch with your innocent self. It's as if the dream is portraying how difficult this is for you, because you are not innocent about your relationship anymore. It's hard to pretend to be someone who trusts and has faith that everything will go great without question when you have experienced otherwise.

When you lose the girl (your innocent part), you notice the waves... these are emotional waves, and I take it that you kinda surfed a tunnel wave... which on the one hand suggest you tried to ride your emotions, but also may be a pun of tunnel vision.

Eventually you can get back in touch with this innocent self, but that is not enough. The camera has the wrong batteries. Being out of batteries means having no energy left. But in your case it's not that you're without energy, but using the inapropriate energy to revitalize your relationship.

I take the two guys who are in charge of the batteries as parts of yourself that are trying to take care of you. It's as if the first guy does not want you to revitalize your relationship, by refusing you the batteres you need. Eventually it's your insistence that you want them, that makes the second cave in and order the first to give you the energy you need.  

Conclusion: it seems you have been going through a rough patch in your relationship, leaving you depleted of energy, and making you lose your innocent beliefs about the relationship. A part of you wants to let it go, not have you invest more energy in it. But a big part of you feels this relationship is too important, and understands you need to find that innocence again as well as remember the early good times of the relationship, and you eventually insist on reinvestng energy in the relationship to do this.
